Thanksgiving. by Peter, age 9
Last year we had a good dinner with my grandparents. We had our dinner at the half-home, half-vacationing area up the hill at our grandma and papa's house.
If I remember correctly, we had apple pie and pumpkin pie, cole-slaw, turkey, corn and stuffing and this bean stuff. The people who came were our great grandma, my mom's parents, my dad's mom and us. And that was right after we had gotten a little extra sweetheart.
This year, we will probably do the turkey the same.
I am planning to hunt either tomorrow or the day after. We will be practicing where to shoot tonight. Because, if you aim too high, you hit the lungs and if you aim too low, you either hit the legs or the ground. I am hoping to get at least a deer, though it would be nice to have a spike buck, though even better to have a monster. No little button-bucks, though. Dad says he's only letting us shoot a deer that is mature.

Tonight I am going to my friend's party, so that is pretty fun. And right now we are just about done with our Operation Christmas Child boxes. Until later, Peter.

Hi all,
ReplyDeleteI am very happy to be able to read your Friday writings!! You have very interesting stuff to do every day. We are counting the days until we will be with you at that "half vacation" house. Only two more working days after today and only four if you include this week end. See you Wednesday morning when you get up!! Love you all,
Papau
